Michael Terrana, Esq.

Mr. Terrana began his career as an Assistant State Attorney in Hillsborough County in 1982. In 1989 he became a partner in the firm of Wilson & Terrana, P.A., which focused its practice in the area of first party property insurance. In 1998, Mr. Terrana left the firm to found Terrana and Perez, P.A. with Ronald Perez, Jr. (The firm would later add Jason Salgado, esq. and become Terrana, Perez and Salgado, P.A.) The firm continued its focus in the area of first party property insurance, but also expanded to include representation of clients in liability matters.


Mr. Terrana has spent the majority of his legal career devoted to learning and mastering first party insurance claims. He has over 26 years of experience handling first party property claims from claim inception through trial. He has represented clients in every area of the field, including arson and fraud, hurricane, sinkhole, water damage, wind damage, collapse claims and coverage issues.


Mr. Terrana has first and second chaired numerous successful civil jury trials across the state of Florida in State and Federal Court involving arson and fraud, sinkhole and liability matters. Additionally, he tried hundreds of criminal cases while employed as an Assistant State Attorney in Hillsborough County.


Mr. Terrana is a certified mediator in the State of Florida and often serves as an appraiser and/or umpire in first party insurance claims. Mr. Terrana also serves as a fee expert in jurisdictions across Florida.


Mr. Terrana grew up in Tampa and has resided in the area for most of his life. He graduated with his Bachelors in Science and Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida. He currently resides in Tampa, Florida with his wife.
