Associate

Mary Thomas is an associate attorney who has been with Terrana, Perez and Salgado since January 2012. Her practice is focused on both first and third-party insurance issues, including evaluation of coverage issues in property and liability claims. She has extensive experience in handling liability matters representing insureds through their insurance companies, self insured companies and police departments. She has represented clients in the areas of personal injury and insurance coverage for accident cases including auto, bicycle, boating, brain injury, dog bite, motorcycle, pedestrian, slip and fall, tractor trailer, and wrongful death.

Mrs. Thomas has first and second chaired numerous successful jury trials across the state of Florida in both state and federal court in the areas of personal injury, slip and fall, automobile negligence.

Mrs. Thomas also has experience handling all types of property damage claims – both pre-suit and litigation – including sinkhole, wind, water damage, theft, lightning, hurricane, hail damage and fire loss claims from both the plaintiff and defense side.

Mrs. Thomas is and has conducted numerous seminars on both first and third-party insurance matters.

Mrs. Thomas was born and raised in Tampa where she graduated from Chamberlain High School. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Florida and obtained her Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law. She currently resides in Tampa, Florida with her husband and two children.
